KIMBERLY YOUTH ASSOCIATION BASKETBALL 2024-2025

We are looking forward to another great season of KYA Basketball! Here are some important dates for the upcoming season:
SEASON:
  • 1st/2nd Grade GIRLS & BOYS basketball season will run concurrently this year (but will NOT be Co-Ed).
  • The 1st/2nd grade Girls Season will run from October 5th-October 26th
  • The 1st/2nd grade Boys Season will run from October 12th-November 2nd
                  (This is intentional so the boys do not overlap with flag football)
  • 3rd-6th Grade Girls Season will run from November 2nd-December 7th, Tournament December 14th.
  • 3rd-6th Grade Boys Season will run from January 11th-February 8th, Tournament February 15th.
REGISTRATION:
  • Registration for 1st/2nd grade BOYS & GIRLS closes September 21st. Late registration WILL NOT be accepted. Please spread the word and register before September 21st. 
    • REGISTRATION FOR 1ST/2ND GRADE IS NOW CLOSED.
  • Registration for 3rd-6th grade GIRLS will open September 15th and close October 20th. Late registration WILL NOT be accepted. Please spread the word and register before October 20th. 
    • REGISTRATION FOR GIRLS 3RD-6TH GRADE IS NOW CLOSED!
  • Registration for 3rd-6th grade BOYS will open November 1st and close December 20th. Late registration WILL NOT be accepted.
    • REGISTRATION FOR BOYS 3RD-6TH GRADE IS NOW CLOSED!
NO OBSERVATION:
  • There will not be an observation held for any age group this year. Teams will be formed by a blind draft.
PRACTICES:
  • Practice days & times will be determined by each coach. Practices could be in any of the following gym locations: Kimberly Elementary, Stricker Elementary, & LA Thomas. Each team is given 2-one hour practices per week.
  • Practices for 1st/2nd grade GIRLS will begin the week of September 30th.
  • Practices for 1st/2nd grade BOYS will begin the week of October 7th.
  • Practices for 3rd-6th grade GIRLS will begin the week of October 28th.
  • Practices for 3rd-6th grade BOYS will begin the week of January 6th.
GAMES:
  • Games will be held on Saturdays at any of the following gyms:
    • LA Thomas
    • Kimberly Middle School
    • Stricker Elementary school
TAKE CARE OF EQUIPMENT/FACILITIES:
  • Please be respectful of our facilities. The school district is great to let us use their facilities, they have asked that no balls be played with in the foyers of the buildings. Please make sure that if younger siblings are at practices that they are being supervised at all times. Remind them not to run down any of the hallways and stay off of the stage area at LA Thomas. We appreciate your help with this.
